13 November, 2006

Dear Friends:

This letter is to block your calendars for the annual Friends/Partners in Aviation Weather Meeting for 2006.  We hope that you will be able to participate with us in Orlando at the NBAA Annual Convention.  This meeting is sponsored by the National Business Aviation Association, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Air Line Pilots Association International, the National Weather Service, and the Small Aircraft Manufacturers Association.  Planning has started. The agenda preparation has begun. October 19 is the day of the meeting.  It will be a busy and interesting day, so block it on your calendars.

Rhonda will provide information on hotel accommodation and NBAA registration when it is available. As in past years, NBAA will also be hosting a half day meeting of the FAA’s AWSG Technology Transfer Working Group. This open meeting to seek user community input on new product transition will be from 1:00 to 5:00 on October 17.

We look forward to seeing you in Orlando.  Suggested dress will be casual.

Sincerely,

Bruce Carmichael

PS  Also mark your calendars for July 13, at FAA Headquarters in Washington, for the Third Annual

Friends Vision Meeting. This meeting will provide the community an opportunity to see what

JPDO Weather IPT has been doing since last year, and give the IPT feedback on its vision,

            concepts, and plans.
