This document describes the hardware available to the NCWF projects and how that hardware is currently used.
| Name | Allocated Project | Location | OS | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| anlab1 | RCWF - Lincoln | Lincoln | Debian woody | This machine runs the growth algorithms for the RCWF system in Lincoln. |
| blow | Nancy's desktop | FL2-1036 | Debian sarge |
Nancy's desktop machine.
sky is currently out of commission, so blow is temporarily taking it's place in the NCWF-6 system. This machine runs the following portions of the NCWF-6 system:
This machine has the following data disks:
|
| moonbow | RCWF - Lincoln | AWDL | Debian woody | Data transfer through firewalls. This is the host at RAP used for transferring files from Lincoln to RAP. This machine is shared between the NCWF and ANC portions of RCWF and is ultimately owned by the ANC project. |
| ncwf-1 | NCWF-6 | ??? | Debian sarge |
This machine runs the following portions of the NCWF-6 system:
This is a 4-CPU, 2.5 GHz machine. This machine has the following data disks:
|
| ncwf-2 | NCWF-6 | AWDL | Debian sarge |
This machine runs the following portions of the NCWF-6 system:
This is a 2-CPU, 440 MHz machine. This machine has the following data disks:
|
| ncwf-3 | NCWF-6 | RAL Computer Room | Debian sarge |
This machine runs the following portions of the NCWF-6 system:
This is a 4-CPU, 3 GHz machine. This machine has the following data disks:
|
| ncwf-4 | ingest | RAL Computer Room | Debian sarge |
This machine runs all of the NCWF data ingest processes.
This is a 2-CPU, 3.5 GHz machine, huperthreaded. This machine has the following data disks:
|
| ncwf-5 | NCWF-6 | RAL Computer Room | Debian sarge |
Ths machine runs the following portions of the NCWF-6 system:
This is a 2-CPU, 3.5 GHz machine, hyperthreaded. This machine has the following data disks:
|
| rcwfsat | RCWF - RAP | AWDL | Debian sarge |
Satellite data ingest and quality control (parallax correction, etc.).
This host pushes the satellite data needed by the AutoNowcast portion
of RCWF to the appropriate ANC host.
This is a 4-CPU, 2.4 GHz machine. This machine has the following data disks:
|
| sky | analysis | AWDL | Debian sarge |
This machine is being used by Dave Ahijevych as an analysis machine.
This is a 2-CPU, 400 MHz machine. This machine has the following data disks:
|
| storm | ncwf-6 | AWDL | Debian sarge |
This machine is set up for the dev_ncwf6 system, but doesn't have anything
currently running on it.
The hardware problems on this machine have been fixed. This machine has the following data disks:
|
| suri | Dan's desktop | FL2-1033 | Debian sarge | Dan's desktop machine. |
| thorn-ls2 | RCWF - Lincoln | Lincoln | Debian woody |
This machine runs the extrapolation portion of the RCWF system in Lincoln.
This is the host used for building the executables used in the Lincoln portion of the RCWF system. |
| zenith | RCWF - Lincoln | Lincoln | Debian woody | Data transfer through firewalls. This is the host at Lincoln used for transferring files from RAP to Lincoln. This machine is shared between the NCWF and ANC portions of RCWF and is ultimately owned by the ANC project. |
