Job Duties

Conduct research into convective storm detection and very short period forecasting. Participate in field programs to better understand mesoscale processes that effect convective storm evolution and to transfer technology to the operational sector to improve thunderstorm forecasts for aviation and the public.

Professional Interests

Radar Meteorology, mesoscale meteorology, short-term severe storm and thunderstorm forecasting, aviation weather

Education

B.S. University of North Carolina, 1959, Physics
M.S. University of Washington, 1961, Meteorology.
