Lead scientist, ATEC 4DWX Project.
Research Areas
The Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model; urban meteorology,
including transport and diffusion of gases and aerosols; triggering
and organization of moist convection; moist convection's local and
distant effects on the troposphere and stratosphere, including mesoscale
convective vortices, density currents, and gravity waves; diurnal
and semi-diurnal rainfall; quantitative precipitation forecasting;
regional climate and its use in probabilistic forecasting; unconventional
forecast verification; flash floods; field projects.
