Hi, I am into cloud pictures as opposed to pictures of myself. I took this picture on the way to work several years ago. You can see breaking waves (or Kelvin-Helmoholtz instabilities) in the clouds. This event lasted only a few minutes. The instabilities (waves) form at the interface between fluids with (1) different horizontal velocities (strong vertical shear of the horizontal wind) and (2) density differences. In the atmosphere, K-H waves can be observed on the tops of clouds (such as shown in the picture) where there is often a difference between the horizontal wind and density within and immediately outside the cloud.

I have put together some images using the Zebra software to explore methods of super-positioning radar and satellite data.
