Memphis Convective Weather Forecasting Demonstration

Goal: Automatic, accurate, high-resolution short-term forecasts of where thunderstorm will develop, move and decay.

The following algorithms were part of the Memphis '96 program;

• National Center for Atmospheric Research -- Auto-nowcast Algorithm

• MIT Lincoln Labs -- Growth and Decay Algorithm

• National Severe Storms Laboratory -- Storm Cell Identification and Tracking Algorithm
