Tower instrumentation

 
 

 

  • Sonic Anemometer (Metek USA-1)
    Fast-response 3-D wind and temperature measurements.
    Mounted at 32 and 70m on tower.

 

 

 
  • Visibility/Present Wx Sensor (Biral/HSS VPF-730)
    Horizontal visibility, precipitation identity, rain/snow rate. Sensors mounted at 4, 32 and 70 meters.
 
 

Surface-based instrumentation

 
  • Profiling Microwave Radiometer (Radiometrics TP/WVP-3000)
    Temperature and water vapor profiles up to 10km & cloud liquid water content (one cloud layer).
